Speaking today from the East Room at the White House, President Obama called for Congress to extend the Bush-era tax cuts one year for middle class families making less than $250 K annually. In his address, the President also stated that passing these cuts would not raise taxes for 97% of small businesses. “Let’s not hold the vast majority of all Americans and our entire economy hostage while we debate the merits of another tax cut for the wealthy,” Mr. Obama said. He also referred to Romney as “my opponent” during his speech.
